We want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to join us to feel
welcome and at ease among us. So we have a creche, hymns and readings
printed in large print, tea and coffee after worship, recordings of
the service available for those who can't be with us on a Sunday.
Our building is in the middle of Fintry, a housing scheme of about
6,500 people on the northern edge of Dundee. There are shops, primary
schools, sheltered housing complexes in the area, which is well
connected to Dundee city centre by bus.
Our greatest desire is that everyone, in Fintry and beyond, would have
the chance to get to know Jesus, who has made so much difference to
us. For we believe he is the world's true hope. And so in different
ways we try to share what he means to us: for instance, there is
the Alpha Course, which we offer
from time to time. We also organise a Summer
Focus week, with a cafe, activities for people of all ages and the
chance to connect with us. And as part of the local community, we
seek to contribute beyond our walls: in school chaplaincy, sharing in
times of sadness and joy at funerals and weddings, pulling together
the Fintry Forum (a community networking event for people and
organisations working in the Fintry area), and simply being a part of
what is happening locally.
